WHEREABOUTS
Creating custom whereabouts
You can create custom whereabouts in the settings section of Team Today. This is particularly useful when you or your team have regular locations you are visiting. HR teams can even use it to help manage absence's or extended leave.
How to create a custom whereabouts
- In Team Today go to settings (management) > Whereabouts
- Tap "Add custom whereabouts" at the bottom of the page
- In the window that launches enter a title for your new "Whereabouts"
- Choose an icon from the options available
- Set calendar availability when this Whereabout is chosen i.e Full availability, partial availability or no availability. (A holiday would be no availability for example)
- If you wish to categorise this option as leave such as "sickness" simply select the toggle to categorise as leave option.
- Here there are additional settings to require approval either from a line manager or company admin. You can even make this option private so only the user and manager see the detail.
- Tap "Save" to save your changes
- Now when you set your "whereabouts" this option is available for you to choose.
- If you made this option as a leave option, it will also add the information to the leave planner, any approvals can be found here as well.
How to edit a custom whereabouts
- In Team Today go to settings (management) > Whereabouts
- Tap pencil icon next to the icon you want to edit at the bottom of the page
- In the window that launches simply make your changes.
- Tap "Save" to save your changes
- Don't forget you can turn Custom Icons on and Off, for example you may decide to enable a Christmas party option for a short period of time.
How to delete a custom whereabouts
- In Team Today go to settings (management) > Whereabouts
- Tap pencil icon next to the icon you want to edit at the bottom of the page
- In the window that launches simply choose "delete" at the bottom of the window
How to manage leave as a HR manager
Leave options will be grouped together in the Team View. You can also book leave via the Team View. If you made the whereabouts private then the only people who can see this information is the line manager and company admin. This is the same for reports.
