Our story
Making hybrid simple since 2021
The idea for Team Today started with Andrew’s own frustrations while working at a bank: who’s in the office, who’s at home, who’s on holiday? When he later connected with Robin, a Senior UX Designer he met at the BBC, they discovered a shared vision: make it easy for teams to know where everyone is and work together seamlessly.
That spark launched in April 2021 with minimal marketing. By the end of the year, word of mouth had taken over, and Team Today has been helping teams manage hybrid working ever since.

2020 · Founding
Built for the new world of work
As the pandemic scatters teams overnight, knowing where everyone is becomes essential. Slack integration, a full mobile experience, and a redesigned app arrive.
2021 · Launch EST. 2021
From idea to company
In April 2021 Team Today is productised and launched as a full workplace platform (whereabouts, desk booking with interactive floor maps, holiday booking, and calendar sync), becoming a company serving customers around the world. Word of mouth takes over.
2022 · Integration
Inside Microsoft Teams
Team Today lands in the Microsoft Teams app store, learns new languages, and adds automatic user provisioning and whereabouts reminders for larger organisations.

Book everything
Meeting rooms and car parking spaces become bookable, and assigned desks arrive, one place to organise the whole office.

Welcoming the world
Visitor booking and sign-in launch, alongside the leave planner and department views for a clearer picture of the whole organisation.

Fantastic functionality & customer service

As a small charity we have had a fantastic experience using this. It is incredibly affordable. The seamless integration with Teams is very useful, we have had little-to-no teething problems across the team (which for IT related things is quite impressive!). Any time we have had an issue or question it has been responded to with efficiency. The team are extraordinarily helpful! Would definitely recommend.

Really useful tool

Team Today has been so useful for our team to keep in the loop with everyone's whereabouts across multiple office locations and easily be able to gauge desk space. Really recommend this particularly for dispersed teams and hot desking booking purposes, It's really easy to use and handy that it syncs to the outlook calendar so prevents duplication

Indispensable Tool

Since covid my business has adopted a hybrid working policy, and we quickly realised this new way of working posed new challenges as we struggled to keep track of colleagues' whereabouts. After looking at several tools we selected Team Today because of the way it integrates with Microsoft Teams and Outlook so effortlessly and provides a clear at-a-glance view of where our staff are. The support from Team Today has always been excellent (although we've needed very little help as the platform is very reliable and easy to use). And new features are always being added which always add value to what is already a tool that has become part of our business, and certainly one we could not be without.
